Inside Sales Representative (Boston, MA)

Symtrax Software is seeking an entry to junior level inside sales representative for a full time position in our Boston office located very near South Station.

If you are looking to start or advance a career in software sales with a company where you can learn and grow please read on. We will consider people that are comfortable with technology and have at least some exposure to working in sales. A technical background and/or love of technology is also desired.

What you can expect as a Symtrax Sales Representative:
  • A protected territory with existing customers and incoming leads
  • Detailed hands on training on all Symtrax products
  • Training and coaching on how to deliver a lively and effective electronic demonstration
  • Full training in solution sales using the SPIN method
  • Control over the complete sales cycle with technical resources at your disposal
  • Very occasional travel, usually to regional user's groups and/or tradeshows

What we expect from a potential Candidate: 
  • Familiarity with MS Office, especially MS Excel
  • A comfort level with, and enthusiasm for, software usage and technology in general
  • Some exposure to sales work and/or telemarketing
  • A desire to complement a base salary with monthly commission
  • A proven history of personal and/or professional accomplishments based on hard work and reliability
  • Bilingual is a plus

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Install and master the development environment. Respect the compile and “Source control” advice.
  • Take into account the Work Item list in the order provided by the product manager.
  • Develop the functionalities assigned with the Works Items. If no work Items are assigned, take into account some Work Item that are assigned to another developer and alert the product manager.
  • Write the list of tasks carried out.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Write content for software applications.
  • Explain in simple language, technical details that are hard for the average reader to understand
  • Design, plan, develop, edit, and maintain documentation with minimal supervision
  • Work on large and complex technical writing assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate advanced skills and understanding of technical communication, has knowledge in multiple areas of the technical industry and grasps new technical information with minimal guidance.
  • Develop and write outlines, drafts and final deliverables for review by the Manager. Maintain list of outstanding questions or issues that relate to the content of the document being developed.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of relevant style guides, as well as methodology for writing internationalized English using the Clear & Concise approach.
  • Actively document any new processes that come up during projects.
  • Install and execute product as part of documenting process to ensure documentation matches software
  • Work closely with the development team based in Europe and Mumbai to produce complete technical product documentation including On-line Help, User manuals, and User Guides

Team Leader - Software Testing (Mumbai, India)

Roles & Responsibilities
  • You will verify and validate the software produced by the development team.
  • You will be expected to set-up various test environment including appropriate operating system relational databases, or communication systems to ensure that the software is thoroughly tested before release.
  • You are expected to actively contribute towards improving the testing and QA methodology.
