Factur-X is the new European standard designed to ease e-invoicing, no matter who your customers may be. Based on European Semantic Standard EN 16931, a Factur-X invoice is an XML file embedded in a PDF/A-3 file.

This type of invoice is also called a mixed or hybrid invoice and it is equally human and machine-readable. As a result, it adds security, universality, and efficiency to the e-invoicing process.  In addition, Factur-X can be easily embedded into your existing order-to-cash cycle to enhance your accounts payable workflow.

To convert a PDF invoice into the Factur-X format, it will need to go through a digital document solution like Compleo Hybrid. Compleo allows you to convert each PDF to the PDF/A3 format while embedding the corresponding XML.
