“At the beginning we used Compleo because it was an easy way to pass information and format System i spools to Excel” said Mr. Daniel Martinez, the MIS Director of Transportes Quintanilla, a transportation industry based in Mexico and Texas. Transportes Quintanilla has one person responsible for creating and maintaining Compleo templates and around 20 Compleo Explorer users benefit from the value of improved Excel reports without manual work.

The Solution

“Besides being an efficient solution to monitor and distribute information from the System i, we are doing much more with Compleo Suite to address our company requirements in terms of electronic invoicing, that meets the government requirement for e-invoicing. Multiple business documents are created using Compleo modules to convert into XML or PDF formats” said Mr. Daniel Martinez. The list of business documents is long, such as Invoice notes and credit notes, referrals, Diesel load vouchers and payment receipts; which are being handled automatically through 10 different Compleo templates.

Multiple internal reports are being handled efficiently by Compleo for Human Resources, such as workers compensation per trip. For the Sales and Distribution department reports include: daily and monthly sales, customer statements and daily operation reports or client status. And as for Finance and Controlling, many types of reports are being valued and distributed, including collection reports, bank deposits, and office operation reports.
