      Princes Ltd. achieves sales force Autonomy using Compleo for SAP

      SAP R/3 at Princes Ltd.

      Princes Ltd. are currently using SAP R/3 ECC5 with Oracle 9.2 as the backend database running on Windows Server 2003. There are approximately 600 users on SAP with 40 sales users.

      Approximately 280 reports are produced on a daily basis which includes customer sales reports and company-wide reports.

      Why Princes chose Compleo

      The sales team at Princes have to view reports a daily basis to see the trend and performance of their customers. Princes had no method of capturing and formatting the output of SAP reports to folder locations outside of SAP.

      Sales teams and Sales Administration were spending a significant amount of time on non-core sales activity i.e. running reports on SAP and downloading these for distribution. Reports had to be converted to Excel with relevant information for each user and then distributed manually.

      The need was to have an automated solution to reduce the time and effort spent by the sales teams for non-core, but business critical, reporting activities. The solution had to be cost-effective, quick-to-implement and robust.

      Benefits of using Compleo

      Compleo was deployed to capture the output of the regular SAP jobs and save the output to specific locations in portal folders with links directly pointed to the report.

      This allowed the Sales Teams access to SAP information without having to logon to SAP and run any reports at all. The reports could be synchronized with their laptops enabling off line access to the same data. The Sales Administration team was also then released to perform other tasks as they no longer were requested to provide SAP information.

      Nigel Blanchard – Senior Business Analyst says: “Through Compleo we produce nearly 1500 reports a week and after the initial training, it has been an incredibly reliable and easy to maintain solution for us.”

      Since initial implementation, the use of Compleo has been extended further for IS error reporting and monitoring.
